On EU labels this is shown but not subtracted again.
Leave empty if not listed.
Erythritol counts as zero. Maltitol, sorbitol, xylitol, isomalt and other sugar alcohols count half. Glycerin isn’t subtracted.
Also “glycerol”. Counted in full.
Lactitol, mannitol, other polyols
Only if there is no breakdown. Counted half unless it is all erythritol.

Net carbs can’t be calculated without the sugar-alcohol amount. Total carbs are shown instead.

Estimate: the label doesn’t split glycerin from other sugar alcohols.
Contains maltitol. Maltitol is partly digested, so ketoside counts it at half. Some brands subtract it in full.
US label (“Nutrition Facts”, “Total Carbohydrate”): fiber, sugar alcohols and allulose are already inside the total, so we take them out: fiber, allulose and erythritol in full, other sugar alcohols at half, glycerin not at all.
EU / UK label (“Carbohydrate”, often per 100 g): fibre is already left out and listed on its own line, so it is not subtracted again. Sugar alcohols (polyols) are still inside “Carbohydrate”, so they are subtracted the same way.
How we count: ketoside net carbs = total carbohydrate minus fiber (US labels only), minus allulose and erythritol in full, minus half of other sugar alcohols such as maltitol. Glycerin is not subtracted. Rounded to 0.1 g. The half count is a common convention, not a measured value. Label-style subtracts every sugar alcohol in full. “Net carbs” isn’t a term the FDA defines, and the American Diabetes Association recommends counting total carbs, so we show total carbs too. How we calculate net carbs.
